i live in pensacola florida.
Pensacola, Florida has had an impressive history, being the first European settlement in the continental United States, founded by the Spanish in 1559 [1]. Pensacola was under Spanish rule for almost 240 years, though in three separate periods. It was also a possession of the French, British, United States, Confederate States, and has remained a part of the United States since the end of the American Civil War.[1] Pensacola was the capital of Florida before Tallahassee was founded in 1824. _________________ "When words fail, the guitar speaks."

Back in the 1990's Julia Roberts & Lyle Lovett stopped here and got married. Very few people knew it took place until after they were gone.
Oh, and James Dean was born at the local hospital here and much of his family still lives within 15 miles. _________________ My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives. Blazing Saddles... |

I live in San Antonio, Texas. The city is home to the Alamo...
...the Riverwalk...
...the four-time world champion San Antonio Spurs...
...Tex-Mex cooking...
...and, perhaps most importantly, the Gunter Hotel, where Robert Johnson made his first recordings.
¡Viva San Antonio! _________________

| More interesting fact than claim to fame. Northumberland, Pa. The navigator on the plane that dropped the first A-bomb was from our town, so I've been told. |
