It was a performance drenched with slide guitar from Tim Fitz's Telecaster and singer/guitarist Hannah Joy's distinctive sultry voice and a solid introduction to an American audience.

Hippo Campus: "Way It Goes"

Minneapolis' Hippo Campus previewed their upcoming album, Landmark, with a hometown show at the Icehouse, and 89.3 the Current was there to film it. Check out this snippet from the concert with the single "Way It Goes", which featured guitarist Nathan Stocker playing a Telecaster outfitted with a Bigsby B5 Vibrato .

Blossoms : "In Da Club" (50 Cent Cover)

English indie-rock outfit Blossoms got thje spotlight in BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge, where they performed a cover of 50 Cent's 2003 smash hit "In Da Club". With bassist Charlie Salt keeping the beat with his Fender Jazz Bass and guitarist Josh Dewhurst using his Duo Sonic, the song took a turn at the end when they mashed it up with George Michael's "Careless Whisper".

Cherry Glazerr: "Had Ten Dollaz"

Los Angeles buzz band Cherry Glazerr stopped into the Santa Monica, Calif., studios of KCRW to play a set for Morning Becomes Eclectic, and they delivered a brief set of gritty indie-rock goodness. With frontwoman Clementine Creevy leading the way with her airy voice and American Professional Stratocaster HSS Shawbucker, watch Cherry Glazerr play the single "Had Ten Dollaz," which comes off their 2014 EP of the same name.
