See Culture Abuse, Dear Boy and the Regrettes Play the California Series

Fender's California Series of acoustic guitars is aimed at modern players looking to express themselves whenever inspiration strikes, and artists around the world have been eager to fly that banner.

Sometimes nspiration comes in a garage or rehearsal space, or sometimes it's on stage or at a party.

In any case, the California Series can bring out those moments with three body shapes that recall Fender's iconic models of the '60s, three different levels to offer players more options and a variety of eye-catching finishes.

In celebration of the California Series, three such artists recorded exclusive sessions with their favorites in the line. Watch them in action below.

Dear Boy

Los Angeles-based Dear Boy got together at a brightly lit house party to showcase their Britpop-influenced single "Alluria," which comes off the band's well-received 2016 EP, Parts of a Flower. Playing to an enthusiastic group of fans, frontman Ben Grey's voice soared out as he strummed his California Series Redondo Classic in Cosmic Turquoise.

Culture Abuse

Bay Area rockers Culture Abuse performed their track "Chinatown" (from 2016's Peach) in front of a raucous crowd that was clearly feeling their brand of garage-punk. And leading the way on an Aztec Gold Malibu Player was guitarist John McCarthy as vocalist David Kelling bellowed out the gritty track to whip the assembled into a frenzy.

The Regrettes

Regrettes frontwoman Lydia Knight chose a Redondo Special in Satin Black as her band decamped to a hazy garage to perform "Seashore," a single from 2017's breakout Feel Your Feelings. Check her out in the clip above.
