With a high standard of quality and playability, the Fender Paramount Series guitars are packed with modern innovations that raise the bar when it comes to acoustic guitars.
But if one looks closely at the various PM-1 Dreadnought, PM-2 Parlor and PM-3 Triple-O models—including the brand-new all-mahogany Triple-O and Parlor—there are several small aesthetic nods to the early Fender acoustic years.
The “modern-vintage” styling of the entire Paramount Series includes elements of classic 1960s models.
You can see that in the checkerboard purfling around the edge of the body and the marquetry in the rosette (the ring around the sound hole).

It’s also evident in the “cloud” pickguard, which is another wink at the Fender Kingmans of the ‘60s.
In addition, the inlays on the Paramount Deluxe Dreadnought, Parlor and Triple-O models harken back to some of the ‘60s Fender banjos that were quite popular.
