EVENT LIMITED

At Fender Flagship Tokyo, we carefully select highly sought-after guitars and basses, including models not featured in catalogs, which are specially crafted for occasional trade shows held for Fender Custom Shop-certified dealers worldwide. These limited-edition models are created by the experts at Custom Shop, each possessing unique features and exceptional quality.

VINTAGE CUSTOM

Fender Custom Shop Vintage Custom series instruments represent early, almost prototypical, transitional and “first rev” versions of classic Fender models before they were refined into their present-day form. Featuring a few subtle modifications for enhanced playability and tone, some models incorporate prototypical features that barely saw the light of day while others have rarely seen transitional parts combinations that may have been used during the instrument's development.

All of the Vintage Custom models feature our "Time Capsule" aging package. Combining our original "No Buff" NOS Flash Coat Lacquer finish with Closet Classic hardware, the Time Capsule package grants these instruments the charming appearance, authentic sound and genuine mojo of an extremely lucky vintage find.

ARTISAN

For the Artisan series, the Fender Custom Shop pushes the envelope in the name of art and still remains true to its roots. Artisan series instruments are custom-built masterpieces, outfitted with special appointments and features unlike any other Custom Shop instruments. Yet with vintage design touches, the foundation and spirit is authentically Fender. Exotic okoume bodies, lustrous gold hardware, premium “roasted” bird’s-eye maple necks and much more—every high-end feature is fashioned and finished with painstaking attention to detail. No doubt, every Artisan series instrument is a beauty to behold—a culmination of sonic perfection, passion and purity of design, with classic Fender at the core.

LIMITED EDITION

Each Custom Shop Limited Edition instrument is only available for a short time, making it eminently collectible and adding to its investment value. Crafted with many features reserved only for certain artists and masterbuilt instruments, they're exactly what the name says they are: highly anticipated, limited-edition models. Based on vintage platforms, modified with new and time-honored upgrades by our artisans, Limited Edition instruments let players achieve specific and previously unimagined results.

AMERICAN CUSTOM

The American Custom is the Fender of modern times-and then some. With Striking finishes combined with contemporary features and detailed craftsmanship, new American Custom Telecaster and Stratocaster models are not only beautiful to behold, but also highly functional in a pure Fender fashion.

POSTMODERN

The reverently irreverent Custom Shop Postmodern guitars represent seven decades of “Fender firsts.” Based simply on our own subjective view of what works best in a single instrument, they combine the best features of the past with modern materials and innovations. The player-friendly Postmoderns open the door to a wider range of individual musical expression and creativity with enhanced sonic and ergonomic features.

TIME MACHINE

Our shrine to the heritage and legacy of the pioneering players who made us what we are today, the Custom Shop Time Machine series are vintage platforms gone good. These classic instruments are artfully aged to replicate the wear and modifications a well-loved instrument might have received over the course of its service life. While modified slightly for contemporary tastes—larger frets and flatter fingerboard radii—we use the original techniques and tools to create these magnum opii, ensuring the neck and body contours are always period-correct and packed with authentic Fender mojo.

World-renowned artists have visited the Custom Shop in search of their ideal instruments. The ARTIST series consists of products that are equivalent to the instruments actually used by these famous artists, crafted by skilled craftsmen using the same tools that were used to create the original models.
