Create Your Dream Guitar with the Fender Mod Shop
Just how many options do you have when designing your ideal guitar or bass with the Fender Mod Shop?
Creating your own customized guitar or bass just as artists like Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jim Root have done in the past would be pretty cool, right?
With the Fender Mod Shop, that’s exactly what you can do. As seen during the 2018 Apple Worldwide Developers Conference keynote, the platform allows users to choose from a myriad of options when making their dream Stratocaster, Telecaster, Precision Bass or Jazz Bass.
Fans can use the interface on their computer, tablet or smartphone, and easily test their designs along the way with a snapshot feature to save, compare and share iterations with friends.
Once they select and approve features like color, pickups and hardware, Fender builders will complete the guitar or bass in 30 days at Fender’s Corona, Calif., factory.
“The more comfortable you are with your guitar, the better you play,” said Fender CEO Andy Mooney. “Mod Shop grants you the ability and convenience to create a factory-manufactured model truly tailored to your personal preferences. With Mod Shop, you get exactly what you want, in every way.”
