From late-night and daytime sets to in-studio visits and digital exclusives, Fender in Focus gathers the best of the week's performances from Fender players.

This week: Chris Janson, Bruno Mars, Preoccupations and Tegan and Sara.

Chris Janson: "Help Me Make It Through the Night"

In anticipation of the 50th Country Music Awards—held on Wednesday, Nov. 2—singer/songwriter Chris Janson picked up his Tim Armstrong Hellcat acoustic guitar to run through a cover of 1971’s CMA Single of the Year, Kris Kristofferson’s “Help Me Make It Through the Night”.

Bruno Mars: "24K Magic"

Pop superstar Bruno Mars appeared on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge for a performance of the title track of his forthcoming third album, "24K Magic", backed by his always amazing live band. Of course, that included Jamaero Artis, who played a sharp Fender Jazz Bass, and Phred Brown laying down a funky riff on his Strat.

Tegan and Sara: "Stop Desire"

Having left the world of indie rock in the rearview twins Tegan and Sara showed up on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert this week to perform “Stop Desire” from their latest release, Love You to Death. Bassist Eva Gardner holds down the low ground with her Fender P Bass.

Preoccupations: "Anxiety"

Canadian post-punk band Preoccupations released a ferocious self-titled record back in September, and they celebrated the successful sophomore effort with an in-studio appearance for KCRW. Watch the quartet perform a smoldering version of album cut “Anxiety”.
